Reception Class Session Times

Children may enter the Reception class in the September after their fourth birthday. They may attend on a full or part-time basis as you wish. Session times are as for the Nursery class above. You can increase the number of sessions your child attends at any time. The Reception Teacher will be happy to discuss this with you.

Please note that children are required to attend school full-time in the term after their fifth birthday.

The Reception session times are as in Nursery at the start of the school year but during the first half term, once the children have settled in, they will begin to join the rest of the Junior school in the hall at 8.25 for Wake and shake. Your teacher will explain the new routine to you as the children become ready to participate.    

Foundation Prep

There is a facility for children in the Foundation Stage to stay on at school after 3.30pm if required from Monday to Thursday. This is a play based session available until 5pm. It is supervised by our existing team, who know the children well. Collection from these sessions will be via the internal nursery door to the main school, not the garden door as for other sessions.
