As our very youngest pupils begin their journey through school, we create an environment that's friendly, secure and caring, and make sure we always pay attention to the different needs of each child.

This process is made easier by small class sizes, which obviously helps each individual to fulfil their potential, and by our highly qualified nursery teacher and nursery nurse, both of whom help to build an atmosphere that stimulates productive learning, through lessons as well as structured play.

Over and above the facets of nursery education you might expect to find are elements such as a specialist teaching in French, Music and Library as well as weekly swimming lessons. And while our young learners have access to everything the school has to offer, they occupy a designated foundation department, which comprises classrooms, wet areas, cloakrooms and toilets.

All this amounts to a quality of education for our foundation stage pupils which was judged  'Outstanding' by Ofsted in the autumn of 2008.
