Today 4 Junior School pupils have ventured to London to participate in the finals of the Hitachi Rail Project. This is an engineering programme that supports practical STEM learning in schools. Children throughout the Junior School have had the opportunity to take part in STEM clubs this year and create their rail vehicles. The Key Stage 1 Science club also got involved creating some fantastic trains.
The children have been working hard on their trains during after-school and lunchtime clubs and today their are showcasing their finished rail vehicles in front of the Hitachi Rail engineer judges.
Good luck to Phoebe, Beth, Erin and Sophie!
Thank you to Mr Renfree and Mrs Skerry for supporting the children and making the journey with them today.
