On Friday 19th October 2012, St Joseph’s School Alumni celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a day at the school. Ex St Joseph’s School pupils of all ages attended, some whom left the school over 50 years ago and hadn’t been back since. The ex-pupils enjoyed tours of the school, a three course lunch and fantastic music concert. The junior and senior school choirs performed and they were followed by professional Opera Singers, Shelly Coulter Smith and Cheryl Rosevear with accompanist Anthony Seddon. The day ended with a speech from the Chair of the Alumni, Yvonne Tyrell and cutting of the cake.
As part of the 25th Anniversary St Joseph’s School Alumni would like to celebrate this by providing a lasting reminder of the contribution of all past pupils for the benefit of present pupils and those to come. The Alumni are aiming to raise money to build a Sports Pavilion on the Games field. This would provide a fantastic resource for teaching and also as a focal point during the many fixtures and sporting events that are held at the school. The school have many very talented boys and girls, who would benefit hugely from such a resource.
The Alumni are asking all past pupils to contribute to this building, as much or as little as you can afford. Our target is £70,000 for a completed pavilion. Please send your donation to the school, cheques made payable to St Joseph’s School Alumni. All contributions will be recorded and form part of a role of honour within the building once completed.
If you have any questions or would like to join the Alumni please contact the school on email@example.com or 01566 772580
