We were blessed with a lovey sunny morning for our first Stay and Play session at St Joseph’s today. The children collected leaves on the way down to the orchard and used these to make autumn crowns. They had lots of fun meeting sleepy rabbit, exploring the outside area and taking part in a variety of activities. Mr Gonella brought his guitar and we finished the session with songs and snack time. We are looking forward to next week when we will be running an apple themed session with apple related songs, stories, painting and snacks. Thank you so much to all the parents and children who made today such a lovely event.
The Reception class have made a wonderful start to their school journey this term.
They have been learning about Fairy Tales and are becoming enthusiastic readers and writers already.
Our timetable keeps us very busy with French, Cooking Club and Orchard School and we all enjoyed climbing up Launceston Castle and seeing the school from the top.
Our new classroom is bright and spacious and the children very much enjoy joining together with year one throughout the week.
Well done Reception, a super start!
We just had to share this animation project created by Year 11 pupil Rohan Sturdy during his GCSE Art course. Great work Rohan.
Fallon Gillies (Year 7) and Maddie Marsh (Year 8) are in their second year at the National Children’s Choir and both received a promotion during their Easter 2017 course. Fallon to the Blue Choir and Maddie to the Green Choir (the advanced junior choir). They spent a week of their Easter break on a residential in Shrewsbury School with a full programme of choir singing, musicianship and individual lessons. Next Summer they have the opportunity of going to China on a choir tour which they are both very excited about.
