At the end of last term in RS lessons, Year 7 students explored a number of themes from the Spirited Arts competition. These themes encourage students to reflect on the big questions they have about life.

A gallery featuring their hard work has been on display in the main foyer at school for everyone to enjoy.

Not only have the students worked hard and with great thought, they have demonstrated just how deeply they care about the world we belong to and the people we build our relationships with. Amazing work Year 7!

The top three St Joseph’s entries as judged by Mr Scott, Mr Matthews, Mr Duff, Miss Hemingway and Mrs Sweeney were China, Jem and Kelly. Congratulations to you all.

Launceston Castle Trip

The Year 5 and Reception children had a lovely time at Launceston Castle last week. The Reception Children hunted for signs of spring and the Year 5 class explored the layout of the town using maps. The older children looked after the Reception Class beautifully as they climbed all the way to the top of the castle. What an idyllic way to spend an afternoon!

Celyn Ensell-Bowen was only the second head Boy in St Joseph’s history, taking on the role in what was only the second mixed year group to go through the Senior School. He proved himself to be a role model for many younger pupils, and his calm and measured approach won him the respect of pupils and staff alike. Celyn’s example helped the school through the transition to becoming the fully co-educational Senior School that St Joseph’s is today. He left in the summer of 2016. Here’s what Celyn has been up to since leaving St Joseph’s.
