All members of St Joseph’s School become members of the St Joseph’s School Alumni when they leave school, including former staff.

The Alumni aims to create an everlasting community bringing together the school and former pupils and staff to support the current and future school students. Our Alumni are very important to us and we enjoy visits from former pupils and staff and hearing of their next chapters.

We are hoping to build our Alumni and we encourage former pupils and staff to get in touch. We would love to hear your stories and we look forward to welcoming you to our Alumni events. The next event will be in the Summer of 2025, details to be confirmed.

The Alumni committee will aim to create a termly newsletter which will be distributed to all Alumni on our emailing list. If you would like to receive the newsletter please complete the form below. If you have any news to share with us please do email us as we would be delighted to hear from you.

We would like to encourage more Alumni members to take an active part in Careers advice in further education and business to help guide our students on to their next steps after leaving St Joseph’s. If you would like to get involved or perhaps hold a talk or an assembly please do get in touch.

The aim is for the Alumni to continue to support the school by raising funds for specific projects / experiences for the students.

Alumni reunion 2023

We held our second Alumni gathering on Saturday, 24th June and once again were delighted to welcome former pupils and staff to an event in our marquee on the terrace.

We began by welcoming everyone with tea and coffee and wonderful home-made cookies, although on such a hot day – a complete contrast from last year -  the cool drinks went down particularly well!

This was followed by tours of the school, ably given by Lili and William in Year 7, along with Sam Matthews, Caroline Skerry and Jane Gardner. Many of our Alumni were simply happy to catch up with their friends, and look at the photos of bygone years in a display arranged by Jo Burt (nee Cox) who now teaches Humanities at St Jo’s.

Everyone made their way back to the marquee at lunchtime for Pimms and an amazing buffet lunch prepared by Sarah, our Catering Manager together with Nicki and Jodie. It was fantastic that they were also able to come down to the marquee and join us for lunch too.

There was a real buzz that day, and it was fantastic to see those that had left just a year or so ago together with those who had  left the school nearly fifty years ago – or more!

The class of ’92 excelled themselves, with even more of them attending this year with the class of 2012 starting to catch them up on numbers attending!

Our next major lunchtime event will be in the summer of 2025 and we look forward to seeing you then, although we are proposing to hold an event at school next year for those who left St Jo’s 50 years ago in 1973.

If you would like to help support our pupils in school, please do get in touch with us at We’d love to hear from you, and please keep in touch with us with all your other news too.
